I NEVER REALLY LISTENED

...to Warren Zevon on a regular basis, but he's someone I've always respected, especially in the graceful way he is treating his own impending departure from this plane of existence. From what music of his I've heard, I find his sense of humor much more interesting than those of more recent artists/groups like BNL and TMBG. And from a couple of years ago, "Hit Somebody" ranks as one of the best hockey songs of all time (and not just for including Letterman in the recording).

Anyway, I thought that this AP story on his upcoming final album was really sweet.
